About Amy
My name is Amy Osoria, and I am a Doctor of Physical Therapy. I have a background in Pediatric Home Health, Outpatient Orthopedics, and Outpatient Neuro.
I am originally from League City, Texas, south of Houston. I moved to San Antonio in 2003 to study at UTSA and The University of Texas Health Science Center where I graduated with my Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2009.
I live in Castroville, Texas, with my husband, four small children, and numerous goats, chickens, cattle, and dogs on our small ranch.
I started Free Range Physical Therapy in 2018 as a result of declining insurance reimbursement rates and due to more regulations on how physical therapists are allowed to treat. Free Range Physical Therapy believes you should be in charge of your health. I focus on personalized patient care that is tailored specifically to you or your loved one.
About Janie
My name is Janie Salazar. I’m a doctor of physical therapy with 15+ years experience working with patients with neurological disorders and orthopedic conditions.
I’m originally from San Antonio, TX (Southside) and I’ve been a resident of Saint Hedwig since 2018 with my husband, 3 children, 1 dog and 11 chickens.
My passion for wellness began when my oldest son was just 5 years old and he was diagnosed with developmental delays. I would take him to an outpatient clinic for therapies and I was inspired to help others just like those therapists who helped my son.
I worked at large Outpatient Rehabilitation Center from 2009-2010 post graduation and found the rigid schedules to be too complicated for my home life, so I switched to home health and never looked back. I love the flexibility of my schedule, but most of all, I love being able to help patients thrive in their home environment and then progress them to their community.
Many patients who “graduate” from physical therapy need continued help, although insurances don’t cover maintenance. That’s where our idea of “wellness” was born. With just some routine massage and stretching, it is our hope to continue helping our current patients thrive in their home and communities as well as inspire some new patients to manage their minor ailments that are attributed to muscle tightness by means of highly skilled massage and stretching.
